CURRENT PROJECTS
By recognising architectural merit and encouraging high standards of planning, our annual Design Awards help make Burton an attractive place to live and work.
Nominations are judged in three categories:
- New buildings;
- Refurbished properties; and,
- Environmental schemes.
To qualify for consideration, Building Projects have to have been completed by 31 December 2012, and Environmental Projects within the last four years.

Olga Lloyd Award
The 'Olga Lloyd Award', is named after a founder of the Society, which can be awarded to projects, which fall outside of the above categories.
Judging will take place in Spring 2013. Awards will be announced at the Annual General Meeting to be held in June 2013.
Nominations are welcome from the public. If anyone has a building or project that they would like to nominate, they can do so by emailing design.awards@burtoncivicsociety.org
Nominations should be received by the end of January 2013.
